318 was part of a six-car order, but it was the only one built with steel sides up to the belt rail. It was often used on fan trips. Here it is in the final red paint scheme. It was used at the Indiana Railroad Museum in Westport IN for several years, but was then wrecked in Indianapolis in 1971 on its way to East Troy WI. IRM bought the car for parts and scrapped it in 1977.
