Leaning against the pole is my bike, a Colson. I paid about $18 for it as I recall, with my earnings from carrying The Cleveland News.
We lived on Cohassett Ave in Lakewood, which would have been W 131 St, so it was about a mile to W. 117th car house, an easy ride.
