Results of 40-50 MPH winds. No need to go test the bases of electrical poles each year ... just wait for the wind to blow.
Note the trolley wire is pretty tough and usually does not break. The line was cleared using a chain saw, slicing and dicing the pole from the bottom.
The high rail bucket truck removed the mast arm and associated hardware from the running wire.
A couple of days an auger truck drilled out the rotten pole base and set a new 35 foot pole and re-attached the mast arm, hog rod, and hardware back into place.
