This sorry-looking carbody was acquired by the IRM in 2001. It was part of the 451-485 series cars for Tri-City (Rock Island) Railway and Light.
This series of 35 cars was built in 1913 by American Car, on their order 1008. The car was likely retired in the 1930s.
