1058 is a creation by the late Richard Fellows from the body of PE 963. The real PE Tens only numbered up to 1057.
The 1058 has rubber tires, a concealed diesel engine and modifed controls that still look authentic, but allow the 1058 to be driven on city streets without tracks.
In one sense, it is the ultimate model railroad piece, 12"=1foot.
