A view during construciton of the McClane Loop at the east end of the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum's demonstration trolley line on November 23 2003.

The girder rail came from the Port Authority (Pittsburgh's) old Overbrook line. It had only been in service for about 12 or 13 years and was hence lightly worn. Perhaps more importantly, it was still sufficiently ductile to be rebent to other radii.

The loop design was such that two-car trains of Red Arrow center door and St. Louis cars, e.g. cars 66+73 and 14+24 could operate.

The tongue switches seen in the current attachment came from the Port Authority as well.
