Brooklyn & Queens

Witt 8163 at the rear (the
non-street) side of the Fresh Pond Road Depot. The "Flushing" car is a
bit of a mystery since these were normally operated from the Maspeth Depot.
Perhaps the snow. For you non- Brooklyn/Queens fans: Flushing as a route
refered to Flushing Ave. Flushing/Ridgewood as a route, operated out of
Fresh Pond, refered to the two neighborhoods of "Flushing" and "Ridgewood".
These cars only briefly travelled on Flushing Ave, and incidently did pass
the Maspeth Carhouse. {At first I was puzzled by the apparent wrong side
location of the Fresh Pond station of the Myrtle Ave El - I then remembered
that cars coming up the ROW bound for the carhouse, crossed Fresh Pond,
continued under the el, and entered(and left)at the rear. I don't think
there was a direct exit to
the street from the Carhouse}
