New York Central Q-series 151 DC locomotive, was built in March 1926 at Erie General Electric, Trucks by Alco (American Locomotive Co. Schnectady, NY) as NYC 1251, Class Q. It was rated at 100 tons, 1330 HP and ordered for the West Side freight line electrification. It carried Alco Builder plate number 66416 and GE builder plate number 9804.
Originally the series was numbered 1251-1257. It was renumbered to 151 during a general renumbering program in August 1936.
It worked as a switcher on the Hudson and Harlem Divisions as well as the West Side Freight Line and the Port Morris freight yard in the Bronx, and was retired and scrapped in December 1955.
Some years back a model of it was imported by "Custom Brass" in HO.
