Annapolis
Baltimore & Annapolis
#64, a trailer converted
from a motor car. According to Merriken's book, this car had an interesting
history. It was built by Niles in 1910 as part of a nine-car order (wood,
railroad roof). It burned in March 1923 and was rebuilt in the company
shops in May 1924 in a steel, arch-roof configuration. In 1935, presumably
after the WB&A's abandonment, it was sold to the Boston Iron &
Metal Company. In 1944, the latter company sold it to the B&A for use
as a trailer. In the 1924 rebuilding, it lost 3 inches of length, 1 inch
of width, and 3 inches of height.
