78 probably near Oakview after exiting the valley where the Darby Creek bridge is located.

The Sharon Hill line was the next to last built by Philadelphia and West Chester Traction Co. to encourage real estate development and suburbanization in the suburbs west of Philadelphia.

Sharon Hill survives as SEPTA Route 102 and Media as SEPTA Route 101.

The other two broad-gauge trolley lines that were part of the Red Arrow system were bused -- West Chester in 1954 (and its Westgate Hills rush hours only stub in 1958), and Ardmore in December 1966, only four years before SEPTA bought out Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co.
