Master Unit just west of Pine Ridge Station and its electrical substation.
There was less than a mile of double track at this location, from Smedley Park to Beatty Road. In effect it was a "running siding," with block signals at both ends where double track became single -- either to Media to the west or Springfield to the east. As a result, schedules could be arranged so that trolleys heading to or from Media usually did not have to wait for the opposing car.
