8000-series car on Rt 8 turning westbound at Richmond and Norris on February 25 1956, the last day of rail operation.
East of Front St., Rt 39 traveled eastbound on Cumberland and westbound on Huntington on paired single track streets to connect with Route 15 in the Port Richmond area near the Delaware River.
At this time, both Rt 8 and 39 shared track west of Front: westbound on Dauphin and York and eastbound on Susquehanna Ave. The rails in front of the car still exist on this isolated section of Norris St, cut off by the Delaware Expressway.
