PCC 1646 at Middle and Maple, Trafford Junction on August 2 1947. Along with 1601-1699 delivered in 1945 these cars were intended for city service. Following successful tests with 1613 in January 1946 and 1614 in May 1946 on the Washington interurban, cars 1615-1619 and 1644-1648 converted into interurbans by 1948, with 1646 converted on February 25 1948 Car 1613 was taken from Craft Ave Car House, 1619 and a few others from Plummer Car House, and 1646 and others from Homewood Car House
