On an inbound run from Warrington Ave, a 1700-series car approaches the switch to the spur track that crossed to the right to pass behind the South Hills Jct administration building. Regular service cars on route 44, 47 (which became 53 mid 1960s) and 48 would continue straight ahead on the left to enter the Mt. Washington Tunnel.
