Photo taken at Juniata Shops in Altoona showing the results of a mail train sideswiping a derailed trailer train at Frazer, PA in 1960.

The 4871 skidded out into a cornfield about 45 degrees from the right of way on its side and is proof that the GG-1 was indestructible. The engine was completely rewired and rebuilt.
