Streetcar Wreck, February 9th, 1911<br /><br /> The notation on the back of this card says: <br /><br /> Three lives lost as you will notice, a lady 53, and two girls - one 20 and one 14. Sad indeed. The car has (since) been raised entirely, and is on the docks now. Expect to see it this afternoon. The brakes wouldn't work and it is claimed that caused the calamity. The same motorman ran over and killed a girl not so long ago. Unlucky chap, eh?"
