Car 1, a product of the Cincinnati Car Company at Chevy Chase Lake MD at its northern terminal in 1909.
In 1933, Capital Traction Co and Washington Railway and Electric Co were both merged into the new Capital Transit Co and operated as such until it became DC Transit in 1956.
