Car 4387 at Seashore Trolley Museum on August 15 1987
4387 pictured has a sway in the upper clerestory on the near end, caused by a falling tree that landed on the car during the hurricane of 1938.
Many elm trees were knocked down along the Fellsway line during this storm ,and one landed on this car and onto the overhead wire as well. They had to cut this car free with saws before it could be towed to the carhouse at Salem St. It was repaired as much as possible, but the sway is still visible.
