1644 lays over on the 49 Beltzhoover loop. Briefly used officially as an interurban from May 1947 to May-1949, 1644 was outfitted with Clark B2-A trucks, forerunner of the B2-B used under PRCo 1725-1799 and TTC 4500-4549. Operators had highly favorable comments about the trucks even though they were not informed! The bolster was mounted on rubber springs rather than swing links, making the ride truly like floating on a cloud
