It appears the photographer went into an upper floor of the Mellon Institute Building in Oakland to capture this view of an outbound 1601-series car on Fifth Ave at N. Dithridge St. The white stone house in the center is the Rectory for St. Paul Cathedral, the mother church for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh. This is one of several churches originally located within today's "Golden Triangle" that followed their parishioners during the early years of the trolley era as the population migrated away from an increasingly commercialized downtown area
